Leaving the fascinating city of Mumbai from the Gateay of India, we will hop on a ferry across the harbour to begin our trip south along the beach studded coast of Maharashtra. The Konkan Coast is a hidden treasure, and India’s best kept cycling secret. Quiet roads, pristine, empty beaches, palm trees, little to no traffic, and coastal life at its best. After a rest day in Belgaum we continue inland away from the coast and end this section at arguably India’s most stunning ancient temple ruins – Hampi.
