Introducing our newest Toronto intern – Welcome Erin!

I am so excited to be working with Tour D’Afrique! For years I have been exploring their website and getting inspired by all the epic trips that they run. It’s so great to now be able to put my skills to use in the Toronto office, and to make plans to participate in the Bamboo Road tour coming up in 2015!

Since moving to Toronto over a decade ago I have used cycling as one of my primary forms of transportation. Getting to know this city by bike has been a pleasure. Riding through the parks and neighbourhoods is a great way to see a lot without rushing by.

I’ve had the opportunity to do self-supported bike tours and lovely long rides around Ontario, Nova Scotia, and South Korea, and I am always on the look-out for great day-trips and touring destinations. The Bamboo Road in 2015 will be the most adventurous and the longest bike trip I’ve ever done and I couldn’t be more thrilled!

Tour D’Afrique, like all businesses, has tons of on-going projects and tasks. My job in the office is to provide support and assistance in a variety of roles. I’m here to fill in on tasks like copy-editing, blog updates, organization and communication.

When I’m not with Tour D’Afrique I am a student at York University studying Disaster and Emergency Management. I also keep busy by studying French (hoping to be fluent someday), Korean (hoping to be fluent someday further away), and by doing some freelance writing.
